How long have you been trading? We were established in May 2015. Starting out as a market unit on Grimsby's Top Town Market (under the name of Davie's Baby Stuff), we quickly expanded on to a second unit so that we could offer a much wider range of products. Our customer service and the quality of products that we provided led to a further expansion being required - hence Alexander Byron was born.
What other experience do you have? Tracey, who runs the shop and advises on products, worked as a childcare professional for almost 30-years. There is very little (if anything) that she doesn't know about looking after children or the products that they use. Jessica is our daughter, and assistant manager. A qualified teacher who gave up that role to help out in the family business. She loves to learn all about how the pushchairs are put together and is rapidly becoming our pushchair expert!
Where did the name come from? We believe in family traditions and when we were deciding on a name for the shop, or our brand moving forward, it seemed fitting to name the shop/ brand after our own parents. Both our mothers are still alive and well but we have both suffered the loss of our fathers. Tracey's dad was called Byron and my own, Alexander. The shop is dedicated in their memory.
Do you offer layby or payment plans? Yes, items can quite easily be put away for you or, if you want a nursery items or a pushchair but don't know the gender of the baby, you can choose the item, start paying it up and decide on the colour later. All we ask if for a 10%, non-refundable, deposit and then regular payments.
Have you got a Facebook Page? Yes, our Facebook page is www.facebook.com/alexanderbyronbabyboutique. We are also on Instagram and Twitter as @alexbyronbaby but tend to focus more on Facebook.
What if you don't have what I am looking for? Make sure you tell us. We can normally get most items in. If you don't see it, chances are we can find it for you. We are always looking for new items to make sure we offer our customers the best possible choice and service.
What other facilities do you offer? In the shop you are more than welcome to try items on your little ones before you buy. We also have a baby changing area and are breastfeeding friendly.
